St. Mary of the Mount Church & St. Adalbert Church
Weddings can be so exciting to look forward to, and plan. They can also be very stressful, confusing and expensive. It is so easy to get caught up in the wedding that you forget it is really about the Sacrament of Marriage and the rest of your lives together in the Lord!
From the church side, we will try to make this as simple as possible, but it, too, can be a bit complex. There are requirements and regulations to get married in the Catholic Church, some of them universal and some for each particular church.
A man and a woman can marry in the Catholic Church, and at least one of them has to be a Baptized Catholic.
If you fulfill the requirement above, Mary, Queen of Peace Parish makes a distinction between those who are members of the parish and those who are not.
Members are those registered and actively participating in the life of our parish community, attending services here, offering time and talent for the common good of the parish, and contributing to its upkeep. You are welcome to have one of the parish clergy celebrate your wedding, or you may ask an outside member of the clergy. I am a member and would like to schedule our wedding - click here.
Non-members are those not registered at Mary, Queen of Peace Parish and not participating in the life of this parish community. If you are active and participating in the life of another parish community, we can still most likely accommodate you, but you must arrange for the Catholic clergy to perform the service. The cost will also be a bit more than if you were an active member. I am not a member and would like to schedule our wedding - click here.
